Chocolate Cookies 

Ingredients:

- 1 cup (225g) unsalted butter, softened

- 3/4 cup (150g) granulated sugar

- 3/4 cup (150g) packed brown sugar

- 2 large eggs

- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

- 2 1/4 cups (280g) all-purpose flour

- 1 teaspoon baking soda

- 1/2 teaspoon salt

- 2 cups (340g) semi-sweet chocolate chips


Instructions:

1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper or lightly grease them.

2. Mix Wet Ingredients: In a large bowl, beat together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until creamy. Add the eggs, one at a time, and the vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.

3. Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.

4. Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.

5. Add Chocolate Chips: Stir in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the dough.

6. Shape the Cookies: Drop spoonfuls of dough (about 1 tablespoon each) onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

7. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 9-11 minutes, or until the edges are golden but the centers are still soft. For chewier cookies, underbake slightly.

8. Cool: Remove from the oven and allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
